Switzerland to end century-old absinthe ban

Yahoo! is reporting that Switzerland has legalized absinth:
GENEVA (AFP) - The Swiss parliament voted to end a 96-year ban on absinthe, the mythical herbal liqueur beloved of artists at the turn of the century and blamed for driving some of them mad.
The drink nicknamed the “green fairy” was outlawed in the Alpine country in 1908, after a factory worker killed his wife and two children in a bout of madness blamed on the drink.
Parliament voted by 142 voices to 13 to lift the ban, giving its approval to draft legislation filed by the upper house and supported by the government.
