Spotted on a train: KFC’s massive Pepsi Mega Jug, a fountain drink consisting of a half-gallon of fountain soda. That’s 64 oz of soda, the equivalent of eight 8 oz vending machine size bottles.
Figure this: If your average 8 oz bottle of soda states that it contains 2.5 servings, then the approximate serving size for […]

Wifi Connections in Boston

Since getting my new Powerbook, I’ve found myself surfing wirelessly thoughout Boston a lot lately. The good news is that most everywhere I’ve powered up my laptop I’ve been able to get online due to the city’s many open WiFi connections. STEP ONE: Choose an instrument.
Buy/steal/obtain something that makes noise and runs on electricity. […]

Was M.I.A. & LCD Soundsystem show at Avalon; now just a rant about shitty venue policies

Normally this space would contain a quick review of the M.I.A. & LCD Soundsystem show from tonight at the Paradise. But unfortunately, I have nothing to write about, because I left before the first act even went on stage. Here’s what transpired.
First, the doors were were originally scheduled to open at 7:00pm. But because […]
