12-inch Powerbook purchase

Well, I finally caved in and ordered a 12″ Powerbook to replace my aging (and dying) Compaq 2100 laptop.

This officially marks my “switch” to a mac.

Some quick specs:

  • CD/CD-R/DVD/DVD-R Superdrive
  • 768 MB RAM
  • G4 1.5 MHz processor
  • 100 gig hard drive
  • 12″ screen
  • OSX “Tiger” operating system
  • built-in WiFi & Bluetooth
  • USB/Firewire ports, etc.
  • free HP scanner/printer/fax machine (after rebate)

    congrats!
    FYI there is a Macworld Conference and Expo in Boston, July 11-14 … free expo registration if you do it before June 10th.

    Doh. At the last minute I totally spaced on registering. Are you going? I was going to be out of town the days directly before and moving the days directly after anyhow.
