New word: “Legitly”

Overheard: “Legitly,” as in “She is legitly desperate.”

Assumed meaning: slang for “legitimately,” but used more like “surely.”

Assumed etymology: corrupted adverb version of “legit,” which in turn is slang for “legitimate.”
