Peeling back the webpage to reveal ads

If you look carefully on the top right of this page you’ll notice that it looks like a piece of the page is dangling. Mouse over it and you’ll “peel back” the web page to reveal a horribly obstrusive ad:

    That’s certainly different. I have never seen anything quite like it. It is less obtrusive than the Flash ads that take over the screen without a mouseover, but you’re right, it is really obtrusive. I have a sick feeling that we will all be seeking Flash blockers soon.

    Or, just use firefox, and the add doesn’t peel back. Where you put the add on the main page, I just see something that says “Click to enlarge”, but there’s nothing there.

    Btw, nice review of Gargoyle’s. That’s how I stumbled across your page…
