google offers personalized portal

Google Blogoscoped points out that Google now offers the ability to personalize your google home page with content via RSS feeds.

Examples of content include:

  • syndicated news items
  • weather
  • gmail inbox
  • quotes

In order to use this feature, users must have an account with google (i.e., a gmail address). This looks a lot like Yahoo’s , except that Google’s version is a proper Web 2.0 application (note the drag-and-sort boxes). Very cool.
