Davis Square to hold vigil for Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan, a mother of soldier Casey Sheehan who was killed in Iraq, has been protesting outside of President Bush’s ranch during the president’s 5-week vacation.

This Wednesday, a memorial will be held in Davis Square to call for an end to the war.

Our vigils will be simple and dignified. Together, we’ll acknowledge the sacrifices made by Cindy Sheehan, her son, Casey and the more than 1,800 brave American men and women who have given their lives in Iraq—and their moms and families.

This event will be held across from the Somerville Theatre & Davis T stop on August 17th at 7:30 PM

Please try to BRING YOUR OWN CANDLE. We will light candles at 7.30 and remain silent until the vigil ends at 8.00 p.m. All are welcome.
