The Mighty Boosh

Shouts to Sean for turning me on to The Mighty Boosh, a BBC show that’s totally unlike anything I’ve seen in awhile. Kinda reminds me of an adult version of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.

The Mighty Boosh is a British cult comedy set in Bob Fossil’s Funworld (later the Zooniverse), “a very strange zoo indeed” and (for the second TV series) based in a flat in Dalston. The Mighty Boosh stars Julian Barratt as Howard TJ Moon and Noel Fielding as Vince Noir; both slightly hapless zookeepers working under the ever-watchful eye of bad-tempered zoo boss Bob Fossil (Rich Fulcher).

Sadly, it appears that only 2 seasons were made, and the DVD releases are for the UK only (damn you region encoding!).

A quick search shows that there are plenty of ripped episodes floating around the net, for those of you that want to check this out.

In case you haven’t already found out… when you say ‘only two series were made’ - the second series was only made this year, it is entirely possible there will be a third series in the future. The Boosh are touring in the UK with a new live show, so they still have new ideas and hopefully more TV will follow!
