How-to: Convince your girlfriend to see Transformers the Movie

Subject: Movie TicketsI bought us 2 tickets for TRANSFORMERS opening night (7.3.07) at Loews Boston common. Show is at 7:30. Let me know if you can’t make it.
Warning: Transformers is pretty much a chick flick… actually it’s more of a “romantic comedy.” Basicially, the story begins with Optimus Prime (leader of the Autobots) and Megatron (leader of the Decepticons) meeting each other. They then part ways due to an argument about “transforming”. Initially, these two do not become romantically involved, because they believe that they do not like each other, and one of them (Megatron) already has a partner (Starscream). However, the screenwriters leave obvious clues that suggest that Optimus and Megatron are in fact attracted to each other, or that they would be a good love match.
While Optimus Prime and Megatron are separated (on different planets), Megatron realizes that they are “perfect” for each other, and that he is in love with Optimus Prime. Then, after Megatron crosses the galaxy to find Optimus and declare his love, the two meet again. After some comic friction/awkwardness, they declare their love for each other and the film ends happily.
If she still doesn’t want to see Transformers, get rid of her.

Your powers of persuasion are most impressive. I just came back from watching the new Fantastic Four movie (Rise of he Silver Surfer), and there was a trailer for the Transformers movie. I was left unimpressed by the trailer, but after reading your description….I’m sold!
