My first absinthe

Today I had my first glass of real, actual absinthe thanks to the people at Lucid.

How would I describe it? Strong anise/liquorice flavor with herbal undertones. Definitely a strong drink…. a different kind of intoxication: more mellow and relaxed.

    I had absinthe a few years ago at a Dig party. I agree about the buzz. I don’t know if I would try it again - after the initial mellowed feeling wore off I was unable to relax enough to go to bed.
