Mainstream comic criticizes religion, advocates science
Posted 2 years, 3 months ago - One comment
Last year I received one of those page-a-day desktop calendars for a comic strip called Non Sequitur. Most of the daily comics were pretty standard, consisting of commentary on life, politics, etc. But every once in a while there’d be a comic that blasted religion and/or intelligent design, which I saved. I’ve reproduced a couple of my favorites below.

Keep in mind that this is a widely syndicated strip, that by all counts appears to be publicly denouncing religion.
Personally, I think it’s refreshing to see a counter-point to B.C.’s occasionally overtly religious (and occasionally hate-filled) themes.
Thoughts?

Brilliant. “Issues” (if you can call them that) like these are but a few of the reasons why I enjoy Non Sequitur.
